Consultancy

nlp4 offers consultancy for large and small organisations that require individual and specific solutions. Many organisations face issues that require an evaluation from an external perspective or just need to draw on knowledge and expertise before making policy decisions. Sometimes other methods have failed or not delivered results and we offer a new way forward. We have particular expertise within the field of behaviour change and dealing with difficult young people but our skills can be applied to many areas.

Classroom Package
If you require a concentrated evaluation, proposal and coaching solution then our five day package is the answer. We begin with information gathering and a feedback session during the first two days so everyone has their say and participates. We then tailor a day of traing to help with any identified weak area and then back this up with lots of one to one coaching. This can involve pupils, teachers and parents; everyone benefits.

ADHD Coaching

What's it all about?

People deserve to feel as happy, confident and fulfilled as possible. This can be very difficult for and ADHDer.

Coaching is proving to be a very effective way of working with people with ADHD. Coaching isn’t counselling or therapy. An ADHD coach can help you to examine difficult issues and move forward in positive ways.Coaching identifies and prioritises difficulties and works with clients towards planned goals.

I have worked with adults and children with ADHD for many years. I have a deep understanding of the condition and have written books on ADHD as well as developed and delivered training on ADHD awareness.  Much of my work revolves around reframing the condition and looking for the positive aspects of the ADHD personality type and developing those areas to their full potential.

Appointments

I work with my clients primarily face-to-face. I will, however, work with some clients over the phone when circumstances prevent in-person meetings. I usually meet clients in my home in Wolverley, Worcestershire, or if school aged sometimes I will meet in the school setting.
Appointments are around one hour in length. At the end of the first session, we decide together on a subsequent meeting schedule (appointment length and frequency). The frequency and total length of time we work together can vary enormously, depending on the complexity of the issues involved and your individual needs. Regular follow up will frequently be in the form of phone calls or emails.

Who am I?

I am a teacher, trainer and author in the field of ADHD. For seven years I operated as an advisory teacher for behaviour and have worked with a large number of ADHD people. My Master of Education focussed on ADHD behaviour and further research studies looked at attitudes to ADHD. I also have a Bachelor of Law, and I am a Neuro Linguistic Programming Master Practitioner. I have spent my professional life talking and listening to people from all walks of life. I grew up in busy urban and rural vicarages, which is an excellent way to learn about people, and I feel that experience from the whole of my life has given me an excellent grounding in being able to help people move to where they need to be. I enjoy sharing this with others.  My training and background in this field have led me to believe that effective coaching needs to take into account the whole person and their life in context, not just focus on isolated behaviours. The way I see it, successful coaching means helping people to understand themselves better, to sort out what’s worrying them or holding them back, to identify ways forward with clarity and confidence and to remove real (or perceived) barriers to progress.

I work with and accept referrals from professional colleagues in education, health, social services and the legal system.
